White Chocolate Macadamia Brownies
6oz. white chocolate, coarsely chopped
¾c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1/3c butter, melted
2tsp. vanilla
½ tsp. finely grated orange rind
1-1/4 c all purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
pinch salt
¾ c coarsely chopped skinned macadamia nuts or hazelnuts, toasted
2 tsp icing sugar

In bowl over saucepan of hot not boiling water, melt chocolate, stirring occasionally;
In large bowl, whisk sugar with eggs until combined; slowly whisk in butter, vanilla and orange rind
In separate bowl , stir together flour , baking powder and salt; with wooden spoon, stir into butter mixture alternately with melted chocolate, making three additions of four mixture and two of chocolate. fold in nuts
spread in greased 8 inch square cake pan. bake in 375 oven for about 30 minutes or until center is firm to the touch and cake tested inserted in center comes out with a few moist crumbs. let cool on rack cut into squares. dust with icing sugar makes 25 brownies
