Hi everyone,
I will be submitting my report to Erik tomorrow so I am sure he will address this with me, but I am very curious now so hopefully you can provide your input...
I have had the same diet and workout plan for 4 weeks...this last week, I have been sooooo hungry! I have stuck to my plan, but when I have been starving, had a little extra nuts before bed or something like that. Why have I been like this? (before you say it, no, there is no baby on the way! ;) )

I have been going through that also and he is adjusting my plan....my thoughts are your body is like a furnace and since you are feeding it more it is revving your metabolism up and burning through the food faster.
Maybe some one else will give more scientific explanation :p

And no doubt Erik will tell you this too, but reaching for extra should be in the leafy (non limited) greens such as romaine or spinach rather than nuts--one of the most caloric dense foods.
Hunger is a bitch, but plans not followed don't work so well.

You're hungry cuz you're dieting, it's the nature of the beast.
You shouldn't be starving but you have to expect to be a little hungry as you are eating at a deficit.

Yeah- I find times I am more hungry than others, but for the most part, yes I could eat more than what is given. This is when I make a hot herbal tea or drink Crystal light. During TOM I for sure have to work really hard to avoid temptation. I will steam up a cup of broccolli, etc.

I just found it weird how I was fine for about 2.75 weeks, then in the last 1.25 it just flared up!

The same happened to me. I'm not sure if you were dieting before, I'm not sure if one's body is fueled by left over energy and as you get further into your diet you become a little more hungry. My body did adjust and now I have days where i'm fine and days when hungrier.

It might be related to your cycle. During some phases in your cycle you will be hungrier than others.

that could be too.
For me, it was all about volume.
Try to fix your meals with the most volume.
Many like co cheese with the protein powder in it, but i find if i do it separately it fills me better. Better yet, the shake portion made as ice cream eats slower, more satisfying.
Make sure you eating the veggies and the max amt allowed (if hungry)
IF you had a shake for a midday meal, try making the equalent of eqgwhites.
Leafy greens as Cindy mentioned also help too.

When I am low on cals I am always hungry.
No matter what. If I am given a lot of food I get use to it very quickly as well...
When I first started dieting for my last show, I felt stuffed with the amount of food I was getting....then about a week later I started to be hungry.

I think we all have tapeworms that eat our food when we are dieting. They leave nothing for us. sorry little bastards.

Thaaaaaanks.... :D
Thank goodness for cyclical dieting.. even now I eat at maintenance I'll be eating 300-500 kcal more in the last week of the cycle, just when you're hungriest.
I've done the same when I was still dieting and compensate by eating less in the first part of my cycle. Works very well.
