I agree. I have it and was going to suggest it but I think it would be a little too much for beginners.

I guess you're right.

SS is definitely written for the true novice. I guess PP would be stage 2. It's good to understand the physiological adaptations associated with training so fatigue management is understood. But again, someone who has never touched a weight is probably not going to need this.

New Rules of Lifting might be something to consider too.
