I'm having trouble planning my meal times...
I train at 5:30am most days, but I find it extremely difficult to get up in time to make and consume egg whites, oats and berries. Is there something faster and smaller in portion I could substitute? I would still eat my scheduled PWO meal following training, and I was thinking about moving Meal 1 to the next "feeding time", following the PWO meal. Does this make sense? Any suggestions?

you cannot train empty..not sure i miss read that.
You can ask erik to sub it to a shake with something else. I also train at 5:30 and have travel time in there. I wake pretty early tho to be able to eat.

Hmmmm, yeah - I was just thinking of something less time-consuming and more portable. :)

I do this exactly and I train at the same time you do. I eat the second half of my meal one at around 10am. A little hungry but very doable.
I think you get egg whites and oats in meal one correct? I make mine into pancakes the night before.
I get up about one hour before gym, eat half my pancakes, train, pwo meal and then around 10am I eat the other half of my pancakes.
So no cooking or prepping in the morning.

Does this apply to intervals too? This morning I had meal 1 at 5AM then went and did intervals and then ate again at 8AM :shrug:

Great idea Ana! Hahahah, i was just racking my brain trying to figure out how I was going to divide my sticky oatmeal and eggs in half and bring a portion to work for later in the day:blink:. Problem solved.

Well just for a change before I used to do the pancakes I used to cook my eggs as an omelette, break it in half and put it into two seperate containers (obviously :dope:) then I'd take my oats raw and devide them into two seperate containers :D in the morning i'd eat half my egg white omelette and dump boiling water on my oats both of them, add blueberries to the one I ws eating and eat them, pack my berries in seperate container bring all that junk to work, and then eat my left over egg whites and my oats sticky and cold and dump more berries ontop.
Lots of containers but it's a switch :p

Sure. You can set up your eating that way for intervals if you'd prefer.

It didn't bother me the way I did it...so does it really matter which way?

Personally if it were me, I'd split my meal 1, half before I do it and the other half right after.

Whichever you prefer. Provided you're one, eating before the intervals, and two, getting all your calories in by the end of the day, you're on track.
ETA: I do think ideally you're eating relatively soon after an interval workout mind you.

Cool, thanks. Maybe I will try it one way this week, another way the next and see if there is any impact on my energy level/results.

Lots of good suggestions in here already. Just thought I'd throw in my 2cents too. I make everything ahead of time... usually enough to last 3 - 4 days. It saves a lot of time when things are just ready to eat... and I don't have to make it, every time its time to eat.
