RDA says 0.8g/kg - not much really.

Ahh, in that case more than the RDA. Mind you, without exercise the person is going to lose muscle regardless of protein intake. So there will be metabolic slow down no matter what I'd imagine.

With no exercise, but the goal of fat loss, I'd probably go with the traditional numbers for dieting. Of course though, with lower overall calories due to a lack of expenditure.

thought so. Im trying to relay that point.

Was asking for my dil, who is going the vegan route, isnt calculating what she is eating, and wont eat animal proteins of any kind (no eggs, dairy or fish) Soy isnt really an option (maybe a wee bit every blue moon) my son take thyroid meds and she's had issues losing too. He (at least) eats animal protein tho.

Am worried because they want to start TTC in late spring.
