View Full Version : I'm starting tomorrow!
I'm going to clean up my diet starting in the morning. I've been eating junk for around 6 months, so it's time. I'll try to ease into it (because I'll feel terrible) and just eat better foods with a reasonable portion size. After a week or two, I'll maintain around 2000 calories or so. It usually takes about 12 weeks to drop the weight I want to drop. I'm not as dedicated as ya'll are, eating right is tough for me.

i struggle with eating the way I am supposed to as well. I think alot of us do. Just keep journaling for support and it will get easier. You can do it!! Just ask for help when you need it!!! I am sure you will do great! Good job on starting to eat clean!

Good luck! ;) Definitely start a food journal. I write my eats in mine and it keeps me on track. 'If it goes in the mouth, it goes in the journal'.

For those that have trouble with the diet. I don't think it should be that way. If you are constantly feeling deprived I would think it would be too hard to make it stick for a lifetime. I think you should find ways to prepare the food so that you like it, keep some of your favorite foods on your menu, and incorporate free meals and/or refeeds that contain some of your favorite foods, (but not overboard). You need to make it not seem like a chore.
Just my 2 pennies.
Good luck!
To say I was "puffy" is pretty accurate. I dropped 2 lbs of water weight yesterday.
I got a bad lab value last week and my Dr is trying to keep me from lifting for several weeks to retest. I told him I had some tough workouts last week, but he doesn't believe me. He thinks I had a heart attack. :ruloco:

rhabdo possibly...generally muscle enzymes will increase when you do weight training...your heart is a muscle too.
It was creatine kinase. Between the cardio and the leg workout last week, I was fried.
It's only 4 days into a deficit and after legs today, I was gone. Just dog tired and jelly legged. I have dropped 4 lbs of water weight. I've still got a lot of will power though so I'll be good for a little while anyway. It's strange how I always gain a pound or two after leg days.
