What about almonds (nuts)
Good Idea! Almonds can be kind of pricey are there any that are just as good for you but a little less expensive. I've done the dry roasted unsalted peanuts. Are those a good substitute?

I usually buy the raw plain almonds. Not roasted. I get them at Walgreens when they have buy one get one free, in the bags. They are kind of pricey though.
You beat me to it Elizabeth
I ws going to say almonds and natural pb or ab

Peanuts are legumes.
And you want to by unroasted nuts.

Roasted nuts aren't the same...get them raw.
Yes, these are pricey BUT you won't be eating a ton of them....very calorically dense.
What about lean beef? Top round? (just another protein option)
You have your fish oils?
Natural Peanut butter?

I don't have fish oils(what would I do with that:oops:), but I do have natural pb, lean beef is a good idea too.
I just want to make sure I have everything I need, and nothing that I don't need. As long as the "bad" food is not in the house I'm all good.

Ok so fish oil as in a pill you can take. LOL I actually do have a bottle at home that I got for free at Vitiman World.
I am trying to get where I can go grocery shopping every 2 weeks and get what I will need for all my meals for the following 2 weeks so that I can stay on track. Diet is my hardest part, as far as eating enough, and being planned. Working out is not a problem.

Do you have a Costco there? I basically LIVED there during contest prep! :lol3: Per lb, their chicken breast, fish and veggies (such as broccoli, bell peppers, lettuce, carrots, mushrooms, cucumbers) are far cheaper than your grocery store. They do come in big packages but you can freeze what you don't prepare right away. (well, obviously not all the above veggies can be frozen).
Their eggs are cheap too.
Oh I almost forgot their Splenda, coffee, huge Quaker Oats and Kashi Cereal.
... Ignore all the above if you don't have a Costco close-by.

Erik has me eating full-fat cheese (any kind as long as it fits my macros)- but I'm bulking. I think you're leaning out and I don't know if you're training with him. I also don't know if he allows cheese during leaning out. I wouldn't even dream of it with my last trainer during contest prep.

This has been so helpful. Hopefully I'll save some $ by only buying what I need & actually using it!!!
I'm excited becusae I am starting the full body workout on Monday and I want to have the fridge stocked so I don't make any nutrition mistakes. I was originally training for a half marathon but after being sick for 2 months I am so far behind on the training, that I decided to switch my focus. I am still going to do the 5K on that day but I don't have to train for that.

I at first was continuing my half marathon training, but after evaluating, I realized that I was so behind on the training from being sick, that I decided to start the FB workout from the stickie. I honestly was really bad about eating before & after. I didn't have a good trainer before... so I have gone through the PWO meal thread and jotted some down. But I really like rice cakes and they are fairly inexpensive. SO i'll get some of those. I am still trying to get a grasp on what to eat, when, and how much!

not a ton of protein for the amount of fat you are getting. I wouldn't include these unless you HAD to have them...Then you would just have to figure out a way to work your macros...But if you compare that to other fish...It can't really hold a candle. I mean the closest you get is say Salmon Steak and that has about 6.9 grams of fat per 3 oz but has over 21 grams of protein.

So Sam's Club was a sucess! I got tons of good stuff. Spent a little more than expected bc my roomates card has expired and the renewal was 40 dollars. I totally didn't expect that. SO now I am left with 13.00 till Tues :( But all my bills are paid and the fridge is packed. I also put up a note for my roomates not to eat the food I bought. I have a purpose with this food and I don't want to come home expecting to have something and it be gone. BELIEVE me it has happened before. So now after spending ove 100.00 on food the last thing I want them to do is eat it! :finger:
