My left bicep & tricep muscles are a bit lagging compared to the right bi & tri. Does anyone else experience this? Should I do isolation training on the left arm to 'catch up' with the right arm?

Pretty normal to have a left to right assymmetry. I've got it.

Potential ways of addressing it ...

1. More unilateral work
2. Train the weak side first (assuming there's a strength imbalance, as opposed to just a development imbalance)
3. Do no more reps for the strong side than you did for the weak side
4. Consider less work for the strong side and more work for the weak side.

Yep it sucks, but it's normal. When doing w/o's your dominant side tends to do more work.

Whew! I'm glad to hear that this is normal. I will start incorporting more unilateral work. And yes, strength is the issue with the left arm - or lack thereof compared to my right arm. Thanks T

Just don't over-compensate

I did that... I worked my left side to the point where it was stronger and more developed than the right....switched my imbalance... so then I had to go back and do it the other way,

Geek. Central.

Arnold used to make sure that he never flexed one side more than the other.

 Or something.

when I first clicked on this thread I thought it was about boobies but I was wrong.

My right side has always been bigger by about a .5 in so when I measure I only measure on the right. and not left.

my older brother once told us that his wife's boobs were asymetrical. I don't know what he was thinking. b/c they are perfectly symetrical.

well, I haven't asked her to flash me, if that's what you mean.

but when we've gone to the lake and worn bikinis, I'm aware of the fact that she doesn't have asymmetrical boobs.

my dumb brother just didn't know the difference between assymetrical and symmetrical . . . seriously . . .we had to show him the dictionary to prove that his wife's boobs weren't Asymmetrical.
