How much cardio do you do? I am currently doing about 30 mins of cardio 4-5 times a week on the elliptical..is this enough? I burn between 300 and 350 cals approx.
I lift weights as well on the same days..is this bad?
Just want to make sure I am on track here!!
Thanks!

This is all SS right?
Are you lifting 5 days a week as well? Make sure that you aren't doing it prior to lifting.
I am not sure what your goals are but if they are fat loss you might want vary things a bit. Doing the same cardio at the same level, week after week, your body will adjust and become efficient at doing it and the benefits aren't as great. Also if you are getting the calories that you burn off the machine...those things over-rate how much you burn--so keep that in mind

The average person burn between 5-10 calories/minute during cardio... although a lot will depend on your intensity and your weight (smaller person will burn less than a larger person).
As for the question on how much cardio is 'enough'... there is no single answer really. It depends on what your goals are, what the rest of your training program looks like, the intensity of your cardio (HIIT vs. steady state) and how much of a deficit you are trying to create.
Are you losing right now?
What does the rest of your program (weight lifting) looks like? It may be a good idea to include some HIIT in there if you aren't doing any already.
It is not 'bad' per se to do cardio on the same days you do weights, but as mentioned above, don't do our cardio right before your weight lifting session (do it either after or in a separate session).

Also how clean is your "diet"? A clean diet can create a decent deficit to where you could do as little as possible but still get results.
I would not up my cardio if my nutrition was not 90% ON and I do mean ON....I would clean up my food first.

The number of calories determines the deficit... regardless of whether those calories are coming from clean foods or not. Not to say there aren't many good reasons for keeping it clean.

:yeahthat: I don't even pay any attention to the calorie calculators on cardio equipment.
