Does it matter?
I train abs on LBWO day (which is off for cardio). I'd like to see what those who are doing contest prep with Erik do.

I think if you consider a Cardio Day as an Off Day in terms of your eating, etc., then abs should not be trained on that day.
They're a muscle just like everything else - they need to be worked hard, and rested hard (assuming you subscribe to the direct training of the abs philosophy, or they're in your current set up).
So I personally wouldn't have them either before or after cardio in that case. I'd have them on a day I was lifting and I'd probably either do them interspersed in my workout, or after my other lifting.
For example, this week I've done direct ab work between other heavier sets.

It was a training day and I didn't do them w/ my a.m. session. I wanted to add them to my p.m. cardio session.

If the PM session gets proper nutrition ... otherwise it's short changing the abs. Kind of like if you skipped hamstrings in the AM session and wanted to add them to your PM session. Your nutrition would reflect that right?

Ahh...good point. I'd had not considered that. I've gotta make sure not to let that happen again. Thanks. :)
