Hypnobirthing

For the ladies that have used this method...

Did you use the Mongan method? When I search on the internet I seem to find a lot of info on that particular method.

Would you recommend hypnobirthing to others?

There are not very many practitioners in my area, but I have found one that is a reasonable distance. Are there questions you would recommend asking?

Oh yes. I took a class in the Morgan method. Loved it. Unfortunately my little one was breech, so I couldn't do a complete hypnobirth (I knew it the whole time and went into labor on my own, but had a c-section).

It takes a lot of home practice and while you can do it alone, its best done with a birthing partner (your husband or whoever). I would also be sure your birthing center won't give you that much of a hard time as you won't be wanting that much medical intervention...a birthing plan outlining what you're doing is important. I saw a midwife, so that wasn't an issue, but some OBs are big on the meds, inductions, etc., and may pressure you. Be ready to argue your needs.
