Does anyone do it for 2-3 hours at a time with most weight lifting?

2-3 hours of lifting, excluding warming up and stretching afterwards? No.

Omgosh, no.
I've heard claims on other boards of up to 3.5 hours at at time, 6 days a week.
Not even close. Maybe 45-1 hr max.

They obvioulsy havent a clue how to train!
I dont think i trained more than a wee bit over an hour and that was bathroom breaks. Sometimes a bit longer if i need xtra warm ups.

Anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes tops. Quality over quantity. Plus if I had to train for 2-3 hours a day I wouldn't do it.

Are they steroid freaks?

Might be a marthoner, so not sure. Still verifying. But obviously not even bodybuilders do more then 2 hours at a time. Myself, I usually do 30 minutes.

It's just there was a thread and someone said they did 3.5 hours of exercise as punishment for a binging episode. Then someone else chimed in that they shouldn't have done that. I said that's way too much exercise, and that other person claimed to do 2.5-3.5hours/day 6 days a week. But didn't say what exactly. But I just found out he/she is a marathoner.

That in itself shows a very unhealthy relationship to both food and exercise.
I don't see how anyone could maintain a good level of intensity weight training for 2.5-3 hours (full depletion workouts are different... but even then, it doesn't usually take 3 hours).

I was part of a 3.5hrs workout once. But our rest intervals were long, we had multiple wardrobe changes, and we ate doughnuts during. Wasn't anything we'd call normal.
Have been part of some 2hrs-ish workouts too...but again with the long RI's, wardrobe changes, and eating.

When I trained for a 1/2 marathon there was one long run per week which eventually was close to 2 hours... for a marathoner I believe the longest long run is 20 miles which could be 3-4 hours. But that is a planned long run with lots of food around (and during).
Working out as compensation for eating - :nope:
