Anyone had a tubal ligation?

My period is 10 days late-
I had my tubal 2 1/2 years ago.

I CERTAINLY don't mean to sound discouraging here, but my SIL had her tubes tied in March of 2005 after having her baby boy. She is currently pregnant and due in august of 2006 (with a baby girl this time. :) ) Apparently she got pregnant 9 months after her tubal. She is like 22 (with 3 kids and one on the way), and they told her that the younger someone is when they have it done, the more likely they could get pregnant again.

Have you had any other symptoms of pregnancy? :unsure:

I told my dh about 3 days ago-
"my boobs hurt, just like when I was pregnant"

I usually don't get that with my period-
but either my period is about to be here, or I'm with child. :lol:

I'm sure I shouldn't panic yet-but I would actually be thrilled.

Awww how cool that you would be happy! SIL was kind of shocked at first but she is SO happy now! It's so neat watching her enjoy her pregnancy!

I had my tubes tied 8 months ago after #3....I haven't had a period since early March....but I am usually wacko in the cycle dept.

If you think you might be pregnant, take a test. It could be dangerous to be pregnant after a tubal. There is a very high chance that if the egg is fertalized, it cannot travel through the tube and the pregnancy is ectopic, which is obviously dangerous to the mother. As the above post said, it is possible to have a normal pregnancy, but IMHO it is better to know just in case. Good luck!!!

my girlfriend had her tubes tied and about 4 years after the fact she got pregnant!!

Well, I just took a test.

It said I am NOT pregnant. :(
Now I'm sad.

My period has been like clockwork since my tubal. Not even 1 day late.
