Woke up with a headache this morning so after I drank my pp and ate my oatmeal I popped 2 Excedrin for Migraine and was at the gym an hour later. Low and behold... I felt like I could move mountains! I was squatting 135# and doing 130# on the lat pull! Last week I could hardly squat 120#! I am thinking it was the Excedrin. Do you think there is a connection??

It might be, I think they add Caffine to the migraine pain killers.

Besides its stimulant effect, caffeine also increases the release of calcium ions in the muscle. Calcium ions trigger muscular contraction.

Is it okay to take before each training session - 4x/week? Will it have long-term adverse effects?

If you knew what I'd been taking the past month and some change, you wouldn't even ask.

Simple answer, yes, it's fine.

I don't use excedrin, but what else does it have in it? from a medical perspective, it doesn't seem like it would be a wise idea to use it for the caffeine effect when you can get caffeine in other ways.

Excedrin also contains acetametaphine, so just don't mix it with ibuprofin and you should be fine :)
