 What are your goals? What goals have you met? Maybe set small realistic goals along the way to your major goal to keep you motivated and hopeful.

My current goal is to drop fat. My lack of hope/motivation adds to the problem b/c I kinda don't care about myself at this point.....so I eat. Not good for dropping fat.

I'm a total mindfuck right now.

Hmmmm! Why don't you care about yourself at this point? Is there any other stress that is new in your life? Are you setting to big of a goal for yourself? Are you being realistic? Maybe baby steps again would help. Small attainable goals step by step.

Yeah, I'm dealing w/ a ton of stress financially that normally isn't present. :chairshot::chairshot:

I think I'm being realistic. But even the realistic goals aren't being reached at this point. I'm going in the opposite direction and don't care......but I want to.

Does that make sense?

I have not yet been able to put my finger on it. I'm thinking that there are so many things going on in my life right now that I don't have time to care about me. That attention could be focused elsewhere and perhaps solving a problem. In reality, it's only making another one. I'm still training, but the eating has been out the window the past few days.

Ok, maybe with the new stress you need to slow down a bit. When I start to have problems with my stress levels and my depression I go into maintenance mode. Yes, this is going to slow me down on my goals but it is all I can do. Then as I feel better I start working on that goal again. That is what works for me. I have learned a bit to go easy on myself. Dieting is hard under stress. So, maybe maintain ,get focus , then get back in the game.

Small steady steps are better than trying to do it all and then failing or quitting because it becomes too overwhelming. Break it down into what you can do and go from there. You will eventually get there and won't want to quit.

This is good advice, and I'm going to think on it.

It just throws a wrench into my deadline. Thanks, Donna. :lub:

I wish I had the words to say but I understand the feelings. Do not give into them. I believe that you are a person of faith so maybe you need to focus on that right now. We cannot do it all and we are not in control. Sometimes you just have to give it over to God and see what he has for you. I will pray for you if you don't mind?

B, I know you have goals and the old, ...when the going gets tough, the tough get going..comes to mind.

You have a supportive husband, so how about your having to be accountable to him? No matter how crappy I want to eat, it's knowing I have to turn in my face stuffing to Erik that makes me not.

Hang some pics up of how you once were and more specifically ones that depict where you want to be. Check off each meal, if it's that bad that you do well and from there, you can give yourself small rewards for each increment you achieve.

Just tossing crap out there. Hang tight.

B, can you change what is currently happening in your life (stressors)? what you can do/ change however is how you look at it and how you allow it to affect you.

If your physique goals are getting you down, look at why. You might not be able to change what's behind you but you can look to change that what is in front of you, to the best of your ability.

It might be an uphill battle for a while longer , but all is never lost. Some where in all of it is a lesson.

Shooting for moon might be your goal but if you land on the stars it's ok.

Stay strong!
