I was advised by a personal trainer at my gym (not my personal trainer), to try Body for Life. I have been following the plan now for 5 1/2 weeks. The first week I lost 3lbs I have not lost any more weight or inches to this date. I feel hungry often on this plan. Please let me know what you think of this food plan. (Am I not eating enough?)
Meal 1- 1/2c egg substitute, 1/2c oatmeal
Meal 2- Myoplex Bar
Meal 3- 3oz of Grilled Chicken Breast, 1/2c brown rice, 4 carrot sticks
Meal 4- Myoplex shake
Meal 5- 3oz extra lean ground turkey, 1 whole wheat pita, lettuce
Meal 6- 2 rice cakes, 1 scoop protien powder mixed with water.
I added up all the calories for that day and it came to 1440.
I do a 20 min HIIT program 3 days a week, and weight training 3 days a week.
I get one day off with no workouts and the plan calls for me to eat what ever I want for that day. I do not go crazy I only eat 1 cheat meal on those days and the rest is healthy.
Please let me know what you think of this, I am getting very frustrated.
Thanks.

how much do you weigh?
How many calories is that?
What are the macro totals?

Just my opinion, but I think you'd be better off with real food rather than that bar... real food is generally more satisfying IME.

1440 calories is not nearly enough.

Add up the calories, protein, carbs, and fats. Without that, it's hard to help you.
Edit: I didn't see that you already listed the calories. Calories are far too low for your bodyweight.

BFL doesn't give you a set calorie plan. You are supposed to pay attention to portion sizes, the size of your palm for protein and the size of your fist for carbs. I would drop the bar and eat real food. The gauge they have you use is if you are hungry before 3 hours after your last meal, eat a little more, if you don't feel hungry 3 hours later, eat a little less. I don't think you are eating enough. There is a calorie calculator on the site that can give you a ballpark figure of what you should be eating.
I am not an expert, but I have lost over 100 lbs on the Body For Life plan. If you have a choice between the shakes and the bars I would definitely choose the shakes, but eat as much real food as possible. :)

Thanks for the help, i will monitor my meals and see what meal are not fillling enough and increase the amounts. Should i increase protein and carbs equally or more of one or the other.
It's refreshing to here others have done the program and has worked for them.

I'm doing BFL right now as well. PM if you have any questions or just want support!
Personally, I would increase either protein or fat, since I think the program is a bit light in both.
