View Full Version : Steroids
So we all know that steroids work. We also know that any drug has side effects, the magnitude of which varies from person to person, drug to drug, etc.
I'm wondering, if steroids were 100% side-effect free and totally legal, yet they were still drugs and still had the same ostracized label, would you take them?
So some people might still think you're 'cheating' or taking a short cut, etc., but other than that, no sides and no legality issues and they'd still be just as demonized in media as ever.

Legal and side effect free? Why not.
I would love to hear from those who wouldn't use them. For argument sake.

Wouldn't that kind of make them like Fish oils or Protein Powder.
Now if they were exactly what they were now...but just legalized. Would you use them?

You mean still have side effects but legal? Hmmm...I guess it would depend on the drug and what the possible side effects are

I personally wouldn't but that's just me. They're really not that hard to make.
My roomie in college was on Anadrol. Made him strong and gave him ulcerative colitis too.

What was his dosing like and how long was it run?

He did two tapered cycles but I don't remember what his starting dose was. I think they were 5 week cycles.

Aren't steroids fairly expensive? If they still had the same price tag, definitely not. (assuming I am correct that they are expensive)

Depends on what you buy. Some of it is very inexpensive.

No
Because I also mentioned they'd carry the same stigma they do now.

Some, but few, side effects, but legal.
Illegal (but not scheduled as they are now), but side effect free.

I think there are always going to be people that will and will not no matter what the sides or legal issues are.

Of course.
The point is asking was to see how many would fall on each side.

Erik, are you basically asking who considers steroids "cheating?"
To me, if there were no side effects and they were legal, the only reason not to take them is that one wants to see what her body can do without outside chemicals (which seems like fish oil and pp would be cut out, like Noel said), or because one wants to build her body the "harder" way.
I can handwrite a letter and put it in an envelope and mail it... or I can do email. Similar analogy?
As for me... I find it impossible to fathom them not having side effects... but since I'm fine using PP and fish oils, I'm guessing I would be ok with using them in your scenario.

I guess that's be a good overview.

I have to say that I would try them. It's been hard for me to put on muscle, my body naturally wants to be thin, so I would be curious as to how much they could help.

If we kept them illegal and with most of the side effects, just removed any trace of clitoral hypertrophy/sensitivity, I'd never want to go off.

The only thing I would be interested in taking (provided the same legal/no sides rules apply) is something to accelerate fat loss as it's bloody hard to get lean!

No. I would like to add a little more size but I can get there without them.
I probably would have as a teen though or in my early 20s. Just for the quick results.

If they where legal with no side effects, then yes, I would take them.
But legal with the same side effects? I don't think I would in that case. God it would be tempting, but I'd have to pass.

Legal and no side effects? Bring it on.
Side effects: No way, I won't even take a thermogenic sold over the
counter cuz of the scary way they make me feel, let alone get acne at 44, a giant clitoris, and an alto voice, but oh, don't they bring about more breast tissue too ? ;)

In some males, gynecomastia can occur when endogenous androgen levels decrease due to exogenous androgen administration creating an imbalance of the estrogen to androgen ratio. Did that make sense?

I was just kidding about the breast tissue increasing in females, steroids do have the reputation for creating bitch tits in men though. Since I am new here, I guess I'll just ease into my sarcastic remarks, did not intend to come across as confusing.

With side effects... nah, I don't think so. I have anger management issues from time to time an an addictive personality. No telling how I'd act on them and if I'd take it to the extremes.
Legal or illegal... I'm in the middle. Prior to having a kid I'd injectected a lot worse, and did a lot more risky things. Now with a kid, everything makes me cautious. I've got an example to set and a child to raise.

I would try them. I am NOT an overachiever so anything that would make me get the physique I want with less work, I'm all for it; provided the side effects were minimal. I doubt I'd go past clen, anavar and/or a testosterone cream though. I'm not injecting myself with anything. :ban:

They are. But the reason being everything is so hush hush on getting them which drives up the prices. Then you got the baseball stuff, the Olympic stuff and all that kinda stuff that adds to the price. Then you got your guy that gets them brought in for one price if your lucky you get in contact with him, but if not then you go through your local person who now doubt doubles the price that he got them for, and if there is anyone else...they double the price too....so you can end up paying buttloads. Unless someone likes you then you get them lots cheaper.

Giant man in the boat and alto voice happens when women take the wrong things or too much of what women can take.

I might consider it for just the opposite reasons......i have no trouble putting on muscle, but a terrible time with fat loss.....so i would MAYBE consider one for fat loss only......i do NOT want to get any bigger!!!

You'd be in trouble then.
Most of them will not speed up fat loss a significant amount but CAN add a bit more mass while in a deficit.
