Pickling question

This could qualify as stupid question of the day but I've been curious.... obviously you need salt to make pickles. Would it be possible to make pickles using potassium salt?

Yah true enough. I'm just trying to find a way to get more potassium salt into my diet (I eat a lot of other salty foods...) so figured this may be one way...
