I found this on the web and made some changes to suit my desired outcome.

1. Raw Almonds : 2 Cups
2. Olive Oil: 1 to 2 Tbsp (optional)
3. Splenda to taste (optional)
4. Salt: 1/4 tsp

For raw Almond butter, Skip Step 1.

Step 1: Dry roast whole almonds in a pre-heated oven at 350º F for about 20 minutes and cool.
Step 2: Add almonds and olive oil to a food processor. Puree it to a desired consistency. Add more olive oil to make it smoother.
Step 3: Put it in a clean jar with tight lid. Store in the refrigerator.

This recipe takes PATIENCE. First the nuts clank around in the processor, then they become powdered (and may clump), after that, they begin to get creamy. Just process the heck out of 'em and they turn out nice. :D

ENJOY!

hehe....isn't the grinder machine at the food store easier?

Umm...throw the cheap peanut butter label on it after you grind it, they never know. LMAO:wigging:

We don't have a grinder for nuts at the store I shop. Not to mention, I would probably make a fool of myself doing that w/ the label. :funny:

Nah...they don't know the difference between ground peanuts or almonds. Just don't say anything. Slap the label on and go! lol

I'm going to have to see if publix here has a grinder. Or I could just make my own.

B do you need to have to olive oil in it? will it work without it?

It will still work, but may not be as creamy. I really only added 1 tsp.

If you don't add the oil it will make it more like almond flour vs. butter. I have also done this and used an egg yolk (just eat it with in a week) and that is scrumptious!
