Secret # 1:Get your "head" in the game l!
Most people believe "secrets" of fatloss lie in the exercise or nutrition, now this is a huge part of the equation, however in my mind it's NOT the first!!
You will NOT achieve your fatloss goal (or any goal for that matter) if you don't have your "head" in the game!
What does having your "head" in the game mean?
Having your head in the game is your conscious and subconscious beliefs in an order that they will serve you, not sabotage you!
The conscious part of your brain is about 20% of your thinking and it controls focus, awareness and likes logic!
Your subconscious controls your beliefs about your self worth, ability to perform skills, SELF IMAGE. It controls the emotions to everything you think, your habitual thinking patterns and works on intuition and 'gut' instinct.
If the conscious part of the brain is the tip of the ice berg, the subconscious is the core of it that sits below the 'surface'!
I have a saying, "we only verbally express 5% of what we are thinking"! This means; there is another 95% maybe even more that is 'floating' around internally and externally giving us messages to our conscious & subconscious brain!
You may go through life wanting to change on a conscious level of "you are fat", however your subconscious is holding onto the image and since the conscious part of the brain is like the tip of the ice berg and the subconscious is the bulk of the ice berg. Your subconscious tends to "win"!
Then you go through your adult hood looking for that "magic diet" or that "secret" exercise, with NO success or only short term success because after a while your "true" belief about yourself starts to surface and you create "hurdles/obstacles" that won't allow you to achieve or stop you from achieving your health and fitness goals of fatloss!
Get your head in the game, simply means be prepared to explore all your voices, especially the voices you hear when you are not talking because that will reveal what your true thoughts and beliefs about yourself towards what you are trying to achieve!
To finish on this "secret", EVERYONE has "stuff" in their head that serves them or not, in my experience most men cover it up with ego of "I can do that", but their inner voice is saying I'm shyt scared but don't want to admit it because I will be less of a man!"
Most woman cover it up with "I can't because (insert anything you want in here)" which is also a fear and or a negative belief!
At the end of the day just be truthful to yourself, this requires you to ensure you have people around you that won't take B.S surface excuses that sound real great but are just a smoke screen for more often than not your FEAR that serves your subconscious!!
