Those are so UNsexy
Victoria's Secret has several of their convertible bras on sale right now. Would any of these work with what you're wearing?

If the back isn't too low, than this one is great:

I've worn it with lower back tops without an issue.

I think victoria secret and others make halter bra tops in which the back strap is really low so that you can wear backless shirts.

Yeah I hear ya. I would personally never buy a bra online. You simply don't know what you're getting - a little padding online may look ridiculous in person or vice vera.
A little false advertising once in a while is fun, though. ;)

Are they totally backless? I brought a couple of halter style tops with me, and I could use a strapless bra that I just had a little lower down on my back. Found a great one at La Senza that actually stays put, even while dancing.

two are completely backless...and one very thin material  ....the only saving grace is that it's not tight. I should take a pic. I'm more worried about the tight ones cause they show the nips :p

I have that La Sensa bra that Tina posted and it stays put pretty well with lots of strap options. I also like the fact that you don't have to put the push up pads in at all and it's a little softer than some of the bras they sell there. I can't stand having hard boobs - I mean if you bump into someone or give them a hug it's like "nice bodyarmour, baby"

That happened to me, bought some really cute tops on line, when I got them and tried it on, it was like I was naked. The material was so thin, every bump could be seen.
the bra I liked from La Senza is a full cup with lining, not padding, I don't like the false advertising either. The lining helps with certain aspects of entering a very cold airconditioned room/bar.
It comes with straps that can be taken off. It has 2 cute little rhinestones on it. I got it in a skin tone colour, incase I wore it to a club, white underwear glows through your clothes. Saw lots of glowing clothes at the clubs in Vegas.
Have fun when you guys go.

I've used the stick on ones, but they didn't last very long. Ifyou plan on sweating I don't recommend using them.
