I have been dieting for about 10 weeks and will soon be ready for maintenance. I have cut my calories below bwX12 as I needed to create more of a deficit.

For maintenance, do I just start at bwX15, or should I do a more gradual increase in calories?

I could probably argue for both so I'll say I doubt it really matters in the grand scheme of transitioning to maintenance.

For some people, after dieting a long time (10 weeks isn't very long mind you), depending on how low their calories were taken, moving right to 15x TBW, seems like too much food. In such cases, transitioning up every few days or so is a good idea.

Otherwise, if it were me, I'd just to maintenance, but I'd probably take the lower number of what's generally accepted (thinking to account for perhaps some negative change while dieting). So, I'd go to 14x TBW, and monitor what happens.

Thank you...I will give this a try.
