Was just wondering if its possible for your body to reject all supplements and vitamins you put in it? I always hear people saying "man I took that stuff and I got ripped" "I got the most insane pump from that supp" or even "love the stuff" gets to me. I have never taken a single supp that I raved of. I take NO and I get a pump but nothing much more than if I didn't use it. I use fat burners and have never ever experienced the energy that they are suppost to give off. I bought Hot Rox after I read every thread users saying 'on 1st dose they cleaned their entire house in a hr, couldn't sleep, etc'. On 1st, 2nd and now 3rd dose I feel the calm, actually can fall asleep. I can have cofee at midnight and still fall asleep.
The only thing creatine does for me is make me severly depressed.
I never take pain relievers because they do nothing for me.
Protein powders all seem the same

Can I have a gene that rejects everything I put into my body?

Maybe this has to do with being gluten intolerant. I read that gluten can ruin the intestines and absorption of foods, can 27 years of eating gluten/wheat based foods fuck up my body when it comes to absorbing nutrients, supps, vitamins now?

Sounds like you have a high tolerance. Join the club.

In regards to the Hot Rox, I've been taking it for 2-3 months now. I never have had that 'amped' feeling where I clean the whole house. That's what I love about it. I get a little 'wake up' but it's not something that makes me feel like I'm about to jump out of my skin. And as far as the fat burning effects, I think it works pretty well

ETA - I know that doesn't really answer your question  But I just wanted to say that the 'reviews' you see out there aren't always the 'norm'

I don't think your body 'reject' supplements. As Blondell mentioned, it is probably a combination of you having a fairly high tolerance to some supplements (such as caffeine or other stimulants) and some of the supplements you mentioned being fairly useless (such as NO) - which explains why you didn't experience much of an effect from them.

The fact is, most of the time you will hear people rave about a supplement such as protein powder saying that it lead to great mass gains/strength increases or that by taking XYZ product, they got ripped. But how can you determine that it is indeed this single product that lead to those results (when most people take a lot - sometimes too many - supplements)? More than likely, it is a combination of proper diet, training and recovery that lead to those results, not the addition of the supplement all by itself.

Kinda like trying out a new face wash that swears to give you visibly clearer skin and you try and it worked. But really you just started to really focus on washing your face 2x a day or more, you stopped wearing so much makeup, and really got into a routine to focus on your healthy skin.
That would all improve your look, with or without the use of a new product. The placebo affect?

I have to stop buying so much supps. Its kinda like tupperware with me. I just want to keep buying it all, want all the new styles and sizes of tupperware, but do I need them all? nope nope NOPE!

Keep in mind that supplements are just that... products that supplement an already good diet and training program. They may help you a bit or have some positive effects on health (such as fish oil), but this assumes that your diet and training program meet your current goals.

Aside from a basic multi/vitamins, calcium (if you don't get enough from your diet), fish oil, creatine (depending on goals), E/C stack (again, depending on goals and tolerance), there isn't much more that you should need.

I haven't noticed much in terms of supplements either (creatine, glutamine, Leukic, aminos, PP). I do "feel" the fat burners working (my HR goes up and I have more energy).
There is one supplement however that I can say I loved: BSN Atro-Phex. During the latter part of my prep last year, I would get so low on energy starting around 3 pm. I switched from Hydroxycut Hardcore to Atro-Phex (taken before my morning cardio and again in the afternoon). Within 20 min, I would feel so much better, my mood would improve, I would get more energy and I could face the rest of the day (including another cardio session).
