What if your gym has a sucky rack and your unable to safely do fronts. What are you option if you can't 'clean' as much wt as you need to be using and want to do fronts.

What would make a rack so sucky that you couldn't do front squats?

If it holds a bar, it's functional, no?

The lowest position is way too high to do romanians and there are no safeties or lower bars to catch the bar if you are in the 'down' position. Boooo. It is also very wobbly.

I don't get it.

This is a power rack? Or a squat rack?

If it's a squat rack, and she's doing RDLs, can't she just walk it out?

If it's a squat rack, then she could just walk under the bar, get it in rack position and back it out to front squat. Usually, if you're going to fail in a front squat, it would be at the bottom so she could just ditch it to the floor if she has to.

For Romanions, same thing just lower the bar down from the front squat/rack position. If the rack is too high for her to clean it back onto the holds then she'd have to unload some of the weight then clean it, I guess.

I used to work on a squat rack that sounds like what she's working on -- two independent telescoping legs with just a bar rest at the top. It can be a pain.
