Thank you for posting this. You're absolutely right - there is a cost for getting in the shape you want.
The thing is that skipping cookies or plates of pasta is such a small price to pay if you really want to reach your goals.

It's definitely all about your attitude, it determines everything. Since I've been on this board my attitude has changed and I've found myself repeating some of the same things I've heard here to people in my life.

Man I really had it twisted! I once again didn't realize that the people who have been able to reach fitness goals did it over a substancial period of time (some 12 +weeks) I really thought if you stuck to a diet you would see daily changes.

I honestly didn't realize how much time it took for some people to look the way they do. I am getting deprogrammed from irrational thinking so bear with me. It was that kind of thinking that made me think after a couple of weeks of hard work , "this isn't working" so I quit and or just ate.

I am going to read that weekly.

Really?

But you don't see fat come on on a daily basis right?

Being open to being 'deprogrammed' is good. You're on the right track.

What happened to me is since I totally used food as a drug, I was in such a fog that literally it seemed like one day i woke up 20lbs heavier. I totally used my carb binges to escape reality, because I passed out after binges.

I mean I know people trained and dieted for shows weeks in advance but I was literally eating thru some people 's contest prep and the time went by unnoticed.

I have been clueless:doh:

HA!

:yeahthat:

I agree, good stuff! It is good to hear it over and over. It really takes time to let it sink in and become how you live your life.

I feel like I am starting all over.
