Yay or nay w/ a mod. cal deficit?
Carb requirements scale with exercise intensity, not calories.
Given the relevant energy pathways, very low carbs and High Intensity Interval Training don't really go hand in hand.

That was what I thought. Thanks, Erik. :)
Mind you, some pre-workout carbs a la TKD style could make it work.

And the meal directly after could go right back low carb?

What is TKD style? And how "light" and frequent should cardio be on low carbs? What about strength training? Light or heavy and how long? Keto diets seem to drop the weight but are you losing lots of lean mass in the process? How does all of that work?

Will let you know how mine goes in the morning.
Keeping my carbs between 50-60 and of course I am in deficit. If you subtract out fiber it is 25-40 depending on the day.
What is TKD style?
Targeted Ketogenic Diet - basically mean carbs targeted around your workouts to help sustain exercise intensity.
And how "light" and frequent should cardio be on low carbs?
The answer to this is unfortunately there is no answer. It's going to be variable and based on the individual.
My philosophy is still to do the least amount necessary to get results, and then adjust accordingly from there.
What about strength training? Light or heavy and how long?
Regardless of dieting style/type, there should always be a heavy component to your training if you're hoping to maintain as much muscle as possible.
How long? Variable.

Water initially actually as the low carbs has a strong diuretic effect.
