can any one explain this:

maybe it's me and my thyroid/body temp regulator or its another 'mechanic' at work??

I can be running along doing cardio....... sweaty, then, even though im hot and sweaty, i get chilled...... it passes quickly but its happened a few times..

Doesnt matter if it was slow steady or intervals.

Could be the body's over regulation of temperature control which is controlled by the hypothalamus with input from the thyroid. It senses your temperature increasing, so it goes into sweating, vasodilation, increased respiration, etc. The hypothalamus gets signals saying it's cold and starts pilo erection, vasoconstriction and shivering to warm up the body. It doesn't take it long to realize this is a mistake so it corrects the problem.

The same thing happens to me when hunting and my professors couldn't explain it. If I'm sitting in the cold with no gloves on, when I put on gloves, I shiver. Gloves should warm me up but I always shiver first like I'm colder. I think putting on gloves causes vasodilation to occur increasing the surface area of the blood vessel exposed and because of the cold, it drops the body temperature slightly.
