Okay I just got back from my womens doctor and shw was telling me my BP is too high 164/94 :turnoff: but my doctor I'm seeing for my medical issues says that its a side effect from my prednisone/steroid treatment along with the other immune suppressents that I'm on. Of course she didn't believe me but everything I've read say it is from that since it was high ever since I started all that. :grrr: I had normal BP before all this and she is blaming it me take the Hydroxycut stuff.
Anything that I can take naturally to help keep it low til I get off my other meds.
Decrease sodium intake for one. Although caffeine doesn't necessarily increase blood pressure, it can elevate heart rate and increase demand from the heart. Hydroxycut does contain caffeine, I'd stop it while on the other meds.

Definitely try cutting back sodium. And as odd as it sounds, I went to acupuncture for something else and ended up with BP so low, my doctor had me quit my meds. :thumb:

Do you ever monitor you bp at home? Sometimes when you go to the doctor's ofc, it can be a little high if you are nervous. I work in a cardiology clinic and see that happen all the time. What about stress? If you've recently had a lot of stress in your life, that can definitely make a difference. I agree with monitoring your sodium intake. Salt is everywhere, especially if you go out to eat often.

Yeah I've been monitoring it at home but I have a wrist one not a full cuff so I may have my hubby take my bp at home. that last two times I've gone to the obgyn i'm more nervious then when I got to my other dotcors cause I get mad that they parking lot is always full and it makes me late. Sounds stupid  but it does play a factor.
Today I took my BP at waking and it was ok then after I took my steroids it went real high for about 4 hours then back down to my normal rate I think it has to do with that since I took it about 45 mins before my appointment yesterday.
