Skillet Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie.....
In a small bowl combine 1 scoop of Biotest Metabolic Drive chocolate protein powder, ½ tsp baking powder and 3-4 tbsp water to form a thick batter. Pour on a pre-heated non stick skillet. Cook over medium heat just until the sides start to curl. Flip, let the other side turn slightly golden. Top with a tablespoon of peanut butter. YUM!.
I'm finding myself having this so often.
Today, I did it w/ pb2, pp, oats and egg white powder.
Tastes like an oatmeal, pb cookie. :yum: I plan to try more variations and will post them as I try. :D

I got two from it.
The amounts for the oat/pb one was:
40g oats
12g pb2
1/2 scoop vanilla pp
1tsp vanilla extract
1/2tsp pumpkin pie spice (could use cinnamon)
1/2tsp salt
splenda
add water until it is cookie dough consistency.
I could have gotten 3--maybe even 4 smaller ones--out of this batch.
Good idea B!!!
You can make it like a giant cookie, or 2 smaller cookies and sandwich together with the peanut butter.
I will also use Vanilla MD cooked the same, but in 1 large, then fill it with mashed sweet potato spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg and stevia.
OR like a PB&J...use Strawberry MD and top with peanut butter. Or Banana. You can get creative!

Is there something special about the Metabolic Drive protein that makes it good for this recipe? Do you think ON would work the same way?

MD just tastes good. Otherwise, no. I'm using Dymatize.

I tend to have an easier time cooking with the MD proteins than with some others. The MD comes out not tasting like rubber
Perhaps because it's a casein/whey mix?
ON is very thin in shakes- I don't think it would make a nice thick batter.
BSN Lean Dessert is incredible for protein-only crepes/pancakes/cookies.
I use the Banana Cream almost every night to make a PB-filled crepe. :yum:
I have found with trial and error for this recipe that it's BEST when you use a casein/slower digesting protein blend. Why? A thicker batter that holds up. I've tried an isolate and it tends to run and the batter doesn't yield the thick consistency ideal for the recipe. However, Im sure it will taste just as well.

I tried it last night with the ON and :yucky:  :puke:
I took a bite and actually had to spit it out. The flavor was fine, but the texture was like sand.

I like it fine just to drink it. I mix 1 scoop with like 4 oz or so of water, and just chug it down in two sips. It's just not meant for cooking I guess... :(
:finger: casein/slow digesting blend proteins only for this recipe!!!!!!!

Mine is the dymatize 12 hr elite

Thats good stuff and it works VERY well in recipes like this too!! I use the chocolate all the time with my oats and make little mini cookies that way they last longer ;)

I use this too. I've been making these for some time as well. I add vanilla and cinnamon to the water, pp and baking soda. I mix my peanut butter with a little water, vanilla, and a tiny bit of splenda and make it more like "frosting". :yum:

Ooooh, good idea w/ the frosting. I'll have to try this tomorrow night.

I tried this recipe with the ON Rocky Road and got the same result. I ate it anyway
Update:
Again I can't stress enough the importance of using a casein blend protein for this recipe. But also, the BRAND of baking powder that you use is going to make a HUGE difference. Last week they were out of my normal brand and I picked up a different one(forget the name now) totally did NOT work out but followed my same recipe.
I use Rumford baking powder, it's the only one I trust for this recipe to work properly.

Jennie, I used ON casein to try this a few days ago - maybe I put in too much water b/c it bubbled on the pan and never got thick or firm ... ??? How thick should the batter be when it is mixed up ??
thanks :)

how much water did you use? did you use 1 scoop of protein? start with 3 tbsp water, I never use more than that, 4 tbsp will make it more pancake like. I also let mine sit a couple minutes for the baking powder can full re-act.

I did this with Champion Whey Stack Vanilla. It was yummy. A little dry, but yummy. It reminded me of sponge cake. I think I am going to have mine with strawberries and stevia :)

Great!! re: the dry issue- don't overcook, you just want it "set" more than anything.

I made this last night and used ON. I used a scoop of ON, 1/3 cup plain nonfat yogurt, 1/2 tsp of baking powder and some natty pb. It was a little on the plain side and was more like a fluffy pancake then a cookie. Next time I might add some cinnamon and vanilla extract and maybe a little stevia. It was a little plain this time. I can't have egg whites so I can't make the normal protein pancakes (1/3 cup oats, 1/3 egg whites, 1/3 cup CC). This is a good alternative for me :) Yeah!

It's probably somewhere I can't find but how do you make your crepes? I love BSN!

You just add water to the PP until it becomes of crepe-consistency. Add the water slowly as it's easy to use too much and then it gets too thin.
Heat a small nonstick pan, pour "batter" in and cook like a crepe. Flip it over carefully so it doesn't break.
I usually turn mine over on a plate; put the plate on the scale and weigh my PB right on it. Since the crepe is hot, the PB warms up and I can spread it easily. Then I fold the crepe over and voila- PB Banana crepe! :yum: (my favorite to do this with is BSN Banana Pudding PP).
I also fill my crepes with whipped lf cottage cheese to which I add cinnamon or different flavored extracts.

Thanks!! I'm going to try this tonight after the gym! =)

Oh if it's for post-workout you could even add some real banana to it- either sliced as a filling or blend the whole thing with the Bullet before you cook it! :yum: I usually have these for the last meal of the day so no carbs for me.
