There's a girl in my gym who was doing bent over rows last night, she uses a different technique than I have seen others use. The lifting part of the exercise was fast, then squeeze when contracting the muscle. I have also seen her do this with cable shoulder work and preacher curls.

Does anyone have any insight into what type of results this will get you as opposed to lifting with consistent tempo?

Fast concentric = more tension in the muscle.
