I have a friend who refuses to believe that low fat dairy products are healthy. He thinks because they are 'lowfat' (ex: cottage cheese, fage greek yogurt, etc.) that they take out the fat and replace it with chemicals or harmful things. What is yalls opinion on this? I LOVE dairy products.... especially cottage cheese and I refuse to omit it from my diet. It seems pretty natural to me. Especially the kind I eat- "Nancy's". I would like to hear what you think...

I've wondered about this too, especially since I can't find an organic fat free cottage cheese. I hope somebody is knowledgeable...

in light yogurts, they add artificial sweeteners...so i have started using plain, non-fat yogurt. it is kinda sore tasting, but i add frozen blueberries and let them defrost in the yogurt to make it sweet!

thanks Bree. I have tried reading him the label but he just won't trust anything that's 'lowfat'.

Tell him to do a child's project and make his own butter. ;)
get a small glass container WITH a lid,
some heavy cream.
Pour some in glass jar, put lid on and SHAKE!!!!!!! till it congeals..
It makes butter boys and girls.
What remains in the jar that isnt congeals is the whey. Guess where all the fat is? Guess where the fat isnt. Maybe that will provide him some answers LOL or NOT ;)
