I'm going to the doctor tomorrow I need to get back on some kind of AD med. What is the best one out now. I was on Zoloft for a while and it made me feel like a zombie and I dont want that I need some thing that will get me out of my I just want to curl up and die mood and nothing herbal has helped this far. I've lost 7 lbs in the past week finding out my hubby is deploying and that cause of it I'm losing my job and my marriage plus all my symtoms have come back with my vasuclitis  and am back on the steroids I'm going to ask for them do to some blood work to see if my tyroid is messed up too cause I've been so tired and dead feeling lately.

Any help you guys might want to help me with before wed morning would be great. I don't even know what new meds are out there now.

You need to discuss it w/ your doc. What is best for one may not be best for another.

After your doc gives his/her recommendation, read up and make a decision.

:yeahthat: Blondell's advice is good - research.

One thing I didn't know about Cymbalta is that it can be kind of hard to get off of... if I miss it more than 3 days in a row I get a killer headache

There is no one med that is better than another, it's patient specific. I'd get my thyroid checked because that is probably the root of your problems. I'd make sure I wasn't diabetic as well. Vasculitis shouldn't reoccur unless there is some underlying cause.

This is interesting the ER doctor said that i may even have strep around my heart and I need to get an EKG

I've been clinically diagnosed with depression so I don't think that its cause by my thyroid per say it comes from the 10 years of ritalin

Who's to say that your thyroid wasn't the reason you needed to take Ritalin? Not enough science to rule it out IMO.

Yes, it's possible. No one really knows. The thyroid gland can affect every cell in the body. Every cell,..............that's a lot of cells.

i agree with the others that it's individual, but i was helped tremendously by Lexapro. Had minimal sleep-related side effects that passed within a month.

Good luck. :)

Totally agree here....and if it wasn't the thyroid it could have been something eles....Ritalin and associated drugs are thrown way to casually at people before Doctors take the time to investigate possible underlying problems. ADHD/ADD in most cases is not an organic manifestation, normally it is secondary to something

I was wondering when you'd get out of the books for a minute.

I'm planning on getting my thyroid tested but he said I have to be off the steroids for a little longer or it would mess up the readings.
