View Full Version : Fatigued after first meal

I've noticed lately for about the past month that after I have my first meal (p/c) I will be really fatigued and fall back alseep for about 2 hours. Why is that? On low carb days that doesn't happen..any ideas?

it usually is protein pancakes now that I'm home...
on high days...1 cup oats, 10 egg whites
on med. days..1/2 cup oats, 8 egg whites

or I'll have a bowl of oats and some type of protein..

My first meal is also PWO because I workout at 4:00 am. I also eat protien pancake. Is this ok? I am also very tired by the time I drive to work. I attribute this to not enough sleep.

Nope...try shifting meal and making meal 1 a P+F meal

No, that is not okay. You need to eat before your workout.

That&#39;s not good. That&#39;s will stall your efforts very quickly. I have something quick and easy- a shake and a carb/fat.

No, you need to be eating before that. Your first meal should NEVER be PWO. (okay, only exception here may be fasted ss cardio in the am...just to cover that base)

Or even try another type of carb (instead of oats) - like sweet potatoes or pumpkin or brown rice

I used to have brown rice with CC and cinnamon and splenda (rice pudding) for breakfast with 1/3 banana or berries - just another idea
