To those of you who have used Yohimbine, which brand do you recommend? I'm a little confused over how many mg per capsule is optimal
Thanks.

The ones I had were in a black and red bottle 2.5mg per capsule I think.

primaforce and Twinlabb are the ones tthat I like. Twinlab is my fav BUT it is yohimbe.
What's the advantage to using Yohimbine?

It's kind of like the difference between ephedrine and ephedra. Herbals have extra "stuff" often aren't as predictable, etc.

A crap shoot at best. There are 32 isomers in the yohimbane family. We want yohimbine - hence people experiencing wildy different effects (side effects) from herbal yohimbe.
What's the advantage to using Yohimbine?
Relative to what? Yohimbe? Or in general?

Relative to whatever reason you would take Yohimbine.

I didn't skip that day of school, what's the advantage of taking it in body building?

Where are alpha-2 receptors found? What happens when you block them?

Thanks everyone for your response.
Patricia! I'm guessing you were using the Primaforce brand.
So I gather I should look for a product containing Yohimbine as opposed to Yohimbe, yes? What does the HCL stand for in some of these products?

Hydrochloride. That's just what it's bonded to.

Well, you said you didn't skip that day in class, which means given you know these answers, applying that knowledge allows you to determine what taking it could do for those of us with aesthetic pursuits.
That's how I teach. :hehe:
I don't give you the answers when you seem to have the information needed to come up with the correct answer.

If I knew the answer, I wouldn't have asked the question. Have you seen a study that showed the benefit of yohimbine for body building? I haven't. Pumping up your CNS or bp doesn't seem like a great thing to me. I'm not buying the increased fat loss until I read it.
Edit - changed my mind
My response is now ... "ok".

I'll quote myself from a previous post, editing your response doesn't count, I've already read and saved it. :p

Standard smaller doses - 2.5mg I believe.
Optimal dose is 0.2mg/kg TBW - so smaller caps are better.

hydrochloride is the telling you that this is the salt form of the product. That is more important in the formulation and delivery of the product in your body. Hydrochloride is the most common form.
also just an FYI McDonald has been pushing yohimbe for women in his "Stubborn Fat Burning Protocol"

Thanks a lot Sarahlou for your explanation
I plan on using yohimbine for my next prep once I get down to the stubborn fat
The standard prescription dose is 5.4mg three times a day and it's mostly used for erectile dysfunction.

Who cares?
The research-supported dosage for RELEVANT purposes is 0.2mg/kg TBW.
