Is any of this correct?

Pendlay

no movement of upper body
bar in towards lower chest (sometimes looks like abs)
arch in upper back

Bent over

some movement of upper body
bar in towards upper chest
no arch in back

I am also confused what "arching of the upper back" means for a pendlay row.

Thanks Blondell, I have looked at that thread and the video and done some google searches. Still confused about the difference.

Is that the only difference...I keep reading about upper body movement and an arch in the upper back.

The upper back is, or rather should be, arched regardless of type of row. Or at least neutral. Otherwise you can't get proper scapular retraction.

Thank you.

What about movement?

The video on ExRx.net for a bent over row shows upper body movement. I don't move my upper body when doing this form of a row.

The Pendlay row also requires a more explosive concentric.
