Sore boobie

Seriously though, I'm having a strange issue with one of my breasts. For the past couple days it has been "harder" than the other. It doesn't have a particular lump or bump, just harder and sore.
Last night it started hurting so bad it kept me up and I lost sleep.

I got up this morning and the areola is a bit inflamed and those bumpy litttle follicles on the areola hurt like he**!
the firmness has moved to only under the areola-it feels like the gland is really swollen.

I am premenstrual, but THIS has never happened before. It's only one breast and it hurts so bad.

Are they cysts? I had problems w/ that in the past during TOM. It went away when I had kids though. :scratch:

I would get it checked out just to be on the safe side, but I don't think you have anything to worry about. Yes, it sucks, I know. :hug:

pretty sure it's not a cyst or cysts. and i'm hoping it's JUST b/c of being premenstrual. it really seems like an inflamed breast gland. but sheesh-how does THAT happen?

i suppose for now i could just take some ibuprofen and deal, but it is concerning.

"Montgomery's tubercles are embedded in the skin and adjoin the shafts of your body hair. They too churn out an oily substance called sebum, which normally travels up your hair follicles and empties out onto your skin. Sometimes, sebum can't reach its destination because your hair follicles are clogged by bacteria or dead skin cells.

I had this same issue a couple times when I went off my BC

and it went away after I went back on my BC

ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow morning......doc is thinking probably cysts. not sure. we'll find out!
