Why it is that if I am on a calorie deficit to lose as much FAT as possible, and weight lifting heavy to preserve as much muscle (I can't build on a deficit and I've already lost 20 lbs so I'm probably for sure at that point where muscle can't be built while still on the deficit) why I am able to lift more and more weight?
Someone mentioned about neural recruitment and my ability to recruit neurologically more of my muscle (I suppose in simplistic terms, I was using say 50% before and now perhaps 80% of muscle) but is that the only answer? I mean, the muscles themselves really aren't getting bigger or denser or stronger or ????? Thanks
