I started taking fish oil and my skin on my face is like an oil slick, GROSS!!
I even started out slow (1 a day) and by day three my skin is so oily.
Has anyone else had this problem? And if so what did you do?
I'm wondering if it is the brand that I bought or the fact that I almost never eat fish (tuna @4 times a year) so my body is freakin' out. I don't know but I'm open for any suggestions I keep reading how important these are to be taking. Help, please.

I've not had this problem with fish oil caps. And I generally have oily skin anyways. I use enteric coated capsules, for no fishy taste. I don't know if that makes a difference with oiliness or not. Are yours coated?

I don't think that's the reason.

Mine are softgels.
omg...I'm seeing this too. Been on the fish caps for about 2 weeks now, and I'm breaking out all over. I know the weather's been hot, so that could be contributing too.

I actually quit taking them for about two weeks just to make sure that is what was causing it. Sure enough, as soon as I started them again by day three I was all oily again. This sucks :( !
I didn't seem to have this trouble with the flax seed oil, so maybe I'll switch back. Or maybe save the fish caps for the cold, dry winter months. I've been through a round of Accutane, so for me to get a zit is like an immaculate conception.

I think maybe I'll try the flax oil next and see if that works. :)
I'm switching back too. My weakness (for zits) are my chest and back. There's no point in getting the bod all ready for bikini weather, then having to cover it all up for the outbreak. And it's just too darned humilating to arm wrestle my 14yr old son for the Clearasil wash. (Not that I couldn't take him......)

When i add extra oil to my diet, like with fish oil or pb.. i break out as well.
Nothing like lots of pimples on a 44yr womens skin.
I did once stop to see if it was the cause.. and it was.. but what i also found out was, if i kept on, my body adjusted and now im not breaking out anymore.. It took about 2-3 wks. Perhaps your body will adjust too?

Oh, maybe I didn't try it long enough. I'll try it for a couple weeks and see if my body can adjust (just have to wash my face like 4 times a day  ) and if that doesn't work then I'll try the flax oil.
Thanks so much everyone. :)
