So I understand that whey isolate a quick-digesting protein and therefore great for PWO. Why is this and what makes it "quicker" than foods like chicken or fish?

Is it because it's liquid? (I doubt it; if that was the case why not blenderize your chicken?) :p

I believe is has to do with the ingredients..some one correct me if I'm wrong..just a hypothesis..

The fat in chicken or fish will slow the digestion of those compared to whey and the fact that it's liquid would also speed it up since there are no chunks to break down.

There are probably other reasons as well but I don't know what they are

Whey is basically "predigested" meaning that the peptides are ready to be absorbed without any additional work by the GI tract.
