View Full Version : Eggs in microwave?
Do any of you guys make your eggs in the microwave? I tried it this morning and it was pretty nasty... Any tips?

It's easier to pan fry them.
That being said, when I use the microwave I have to take them out about 2 times to stir them and keep them from having a nasty texture. I season them the same but I have to stir at least twice to keep them palatable. :)
I prefer them in a pan also-over cooked so much that the texture is that of pasta :uuhh:

I cook mine in the microwave. I spray Mazola on the container and put the egg whites in, then I nuke them for 3 mins. Voila. They taste pretty good to me.
Yeah, I normally cook them in a pan but I was craving them on the way to work this morning so I bought some whites and nuked them. They were kind of watery and wierd. Maybe I didn't cook them long enough. Thanks guys - I'll give it a try again tomorrow.

i also use the microwave too.make sure that when you cook them...the bowl isn't too small. i think that's why they might turn out watery.

I stir mine alot during the cooking process. A fe veggies like mushrooms help. I also top mine with some salsa.

I think I found the secret - a paper bowl! I didn't stir them and they came out like a perfect omelet. Yum!

Good! yes, if you overcook them they definitely turn out plastic-like.

microwaved eggs = :barf:
I will only eat them pan fried, or baked in a fritatta, oh yeah, or hardboiled

I tried this for the first time last week when I was running late for work. Since we only have a microwave at work, I couldn't pan fry like I usually do. I stired them a few times during the cooking and they turned out fine.
