What guy is doing the hip abduction and adduction with a band?
I have Predators. They make for a GREAT training toys investment. I just got Amy a set of the orange for her birthday.
I'm going to put some Predator band stuff up on the demo page.
Predators also KILL cables for things like horizontal chops, high-to-low, low-to-high, etc.
Get some!

Yes. DEFINITELY worth the 50 bucks. You can alter tension since there's three tubes per side, and all are removable. So you can have 1, 2, or 3.

looks like a good investment especially for my home gym. I do have some bands from a diffent unit that allowed for interchangeable bands .. it was a liftetime travel thingy..

that IS true but it would make for some neat exercises to 'sub' in i bet.
Erik what exercises interest you the most using that unit?
I mostly use mine for core stuff/chops and some back stuff. But I have a couple JC Santana dvds to go through that are all band based exercises.

So what do you attach these bands to?
The predators? Around any sturdy object. For me, a power rack.

Ah well, I have no power rack at home. Maybe when I'm richer.

I have a few predator bands but also just got these, which pretty much can do the same things if you clip in two bands at a time (and are more versatile if you're a 100-pound woman who needs varying resistance). I can't believe how superior the clip system is to regular bands (saw this recommended on another site), PLUS the package comes with a door anchor if you don't happen to have a power rack lying around! Another option maybe for some . . .

:D I love this video. I watched it the day I got my bands.
We are going to use a lot of the lying down exercises for Kevin during his rehab. Sent the video to his therapist for when he starts.
I love, love, love my bands. I play with them often.

I've looked at the TO's version since it has the higher tension orange bands.
How do you use them? I see they have the clips and a door anchor. But I take it you'd need an 'anywhere' anchors to use them around a power rack? Actually now that I think about it, I can probably use the straps of my Predators to anchor them to the power rack.
I'm buying these. These look very versatile. And you can get up to over 120lbs of tension PER SIDE.

so if you had to choose, which would it be these or the Predators?
I don't have the Bodylastics ones yet (am purchasing), so I can't comment yet.

Yeah, the TO's are probably better for a non-mini-person!
On the Abel board, they recommend putting hooks in the wall, but I just loop them around some pull-up bars in my home gym (the way I would any band) or use the door anchor for a higher or lower angle. (It's a nice thick door anchor, too, not those anemic ones some other companies use.) Your Predator straps should work fine or you could use a carabiner and some webbing if you wanted to get fancier.
The clips just make it so versatile. You can very quickly add or delete resistance or change handle set-ups, which makes it especially great for conditioning circuits. I also use them for some supplemental core, back, shoulder and glute/ham work. I started using bands years ago to rehab a torn rotator cuff, and still keep finding new things to do with them.
(For example, check out the "#4 Band Tabata" sequence here. Looks simple, turns out to be killer.

I'll be very curious to hear what you think about them.
