Is excessive exercise thought to possibly lead to elevated liver enzymes (which can mean liver damage, but doesn't always refer to that issue)?

hi...

i'd have them recheck them because often it gives false readings.. Mine has come back falsely elevated as has my sons and a friends..

dr tried to tell me to eat LF but i ate as normal and changed naught...

Do you feel you train excessively? (might be another issue there lol) dont think its related though, dont know...

Editting to add: according to my web searches there seems to be some indication it could be a cause.. One particular individual made sure not to exercise for a few days prior to testing and after very high readings, they were normal..

I dont have an answer to that. However, last year around this time I felt like hell pretty much on a daily basis. I was never sick with a cold or flu per se, but I was light headed, dizzy and tired all the time. I had a whole blood panel done and the only thing that came back abnormal was elevated liver enzymes.

I was tested for Hepatitis and had a liver ultrasound and all tests came back negative. To this day all of the doctors Ive seen, (about 4) have no real explanation. I did mention that I exercise frequently, but not one of them thought that could be the reason. Their best guess was that I was fighting off a low grade virus.

Interesting thread... I had elevated liver enzymes last year when I did my annual physical. They had me come in for a Heptatis test too which was negative. It wasn't that elevated so I was told to come in for a recheck. I read high amounts of protein can cause elevated enzymes. Not sure of the validity of that.
