Canned Veggies

I really dislike canned veggies, with the exception of beans. For some reason, I prefer canned green beans over fresh or frozen, (yeah, I know I am we todd did :oops: ). Are they really bad in comparison to fresh/frozen?

Yes, higher in sodium and not as fresh for sure. BTW, I love peas right out the can. :sad:

we buy no salt canned green beans. hubby eats a ton. but he salts them lightly after.

They definitely have a lower nutritional value than fresh veggie. With that being said, I love canned spinach. I always feel like Popeye when I eat them. Hee hee

i don't like the texture - only thing canned I used is beans and that's becasue i'm way too lazy to soak them overnight.

Canned veggies! :barf: I prefer frozen. I've been known to open up a bag of green beans and eat them right outta the bag...still frozen! :drool:

I was actually wondering this myself. I use frozen veggies for everything else except canned green beans.

I like my veggies mushy and cooked.
i try to get the lower sodium version or rinse them a couple of times.
