If you only have a short time (30 mins or less) to get some kind
of exercise in for the day what do you do?
Cardio or Weights?
and
Which one is a better choice?

Yesterday I did weights (full body) in the 30 mins I had

Thanks! :)

The real answer is probably it 'depends' on context.

But just based on the specific question, I'd pick weights.

How about both FTW? :D

Kettlebell workouts are awesome for combining both strength + cardio components. I've kicked my own butt in half an hour with kettlebell circuits!

That said, you can do the same thing with weights, by doing a metabolic workout...

You did a full body workout in 30 minutes? That's fast.

Is fat loss your goal? Is that everyday that you only have 30 minutes?

I always says weights.

Strength training isn't about the implement used; it's about the loading parameters selected.

Has nothing to do with kettlebells.

So circuit training is classified as cardio?

So circuit training is classified as cardio?

Not necessarily. It's not as simple as that classification. The loading parameters are relevant, but for the most part circuits are done for metabolic effect, not for strength development per se. So they tend to have a 'cardio-type' component/feel to them.

Fat loss is the goal
It was just this day I only had <30 mins to train
but simply I wanted to know if you had both weights & cardio (scheduled) to do
but found that day was too busy to fit both in
what would you pick and why?

In my case, I'd choose cardio, high intensity.

It's tough to get in a weight workout (regardless of the type) in under 30 mins. Not sayin it can't be done, it's just how I operate.
