When searching for a new gym, one of the guys was promoting the spinning classes.... he said you can burn 2000 calories in 40 min in one of those classes...well I burst out laughing, and said are you sure?   Is this true?? it just sounded like such bull.

You can't burn 2000 calories in 40 minutes using a lethal dose of DNP.

 :funny: I didn't think that was possible if it was people would eat donuts then go to one of those classes.

Seriously, this is one of those fundamental limits to biochemistry.

I'd have to check, but I'm pretty sure that 2000kcal in 40 minutes, roughly 50kcal/minute, would be enough to set you on fire.

EDIT: No, scratch that. But it sounded good!

LOL - I have heard up to 800 calories burned, but never 2000.
