I know people who practically live at the gym but I'm sure several of you know that working out longer than an hour can cause your body to start producing more lactic acid, cortisol, along with other things...

Personally speaking, once I get going - it's hard to stop. How much time do you spend working out?

I usually find it I am really putting in quality effort then I am pretty well fatigued by the end of an hour. I have to say though I don't go by the time- my goal is to fatigue the muscle so I go by how I feel. This means sometimes adding an extra set of extra exercise or sometimes dropping a set, too.

I don't do much cardio as a general rule (right now I am recovering from surgery) and if I do it is usually HIIT for 30-min on the days I don't weight train. Usually 1-2 days recovery each week.

My lifting workouts take 90 minutes, give or take. 30-35 minutes of that is warming up and stretching afterwards.

That's a great idea - listening to your body as opposed to watching the time...

Anywhere from 35min to 90min (over the summer I had giant sets for everything, but I also had zero cardio while dieting).

Most of the time, they are 45-65min long.

Warm-ups are around 20 minutes; actual work sets take about 30-40 minutes. Maybe 10 minutes of stretching afterwards.

That's about the longest I go at this point. If I'm doing something like rebalancing, then the whole thing takes about half an hour.

At most 90 minutes if I have cardio on that day. But if only training, usually around an hour if I do all of my dynamic warm-ups. (Which I should ALWAYS do)
