I went to a medical spa yesterday to look into laser treatment for sun spots on my face. &!%$ the woman that I met with was 52 and looked younger than me (I'm 39). She just finished a series of FotoFacials and looks absolutely fabulous. She wasn't even wearing makeup!!

I am trying to decide if I should just have the spots treated or if I should go for the foto series. Difference of about $1500 in the end.

Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

How funny! I had my first Fotofacial treatment last night. It will be the first ina series of 5. I am 34 years old and decided that I wanted to be proactive in retaining the best skin posssible rather than be reactive to wrinkles and blotchiness :)

A series of 5 sessions will cost $1,125 - not a bad investment IMO

Wow, that's a good price. Are you in Canada or the US? I'm in Ontario. For a series of 6 sessions, I was quoted $2113.25 including taxes. My regular day spa quoted me $713 tax just to treat the spots.

Did it hurt? I always had good skin when I was younger but years of tanning have caught up with me. I have uneven skin tone and dark circles, on top of the sun spots.

I had laser treatment to remove sunspots form my face and chest. You could definitely see a difference. It took two sessions. I am going to need more on my chest though--too much sun as a teen.

I had PhotoRejuvenation once, I don't know if it's the same as the one that you are talking about. I had very severe acne when younger that left some scars on my face. I did two sessions and I've seen a little improvement. However, the costs were a little bit less expensive. If I had more money, I would try it again.

For the pain, like most of laser treatments, you will feel like a hard pinch on your face or like a rubber feeling. The first time, the technician did put some cream to lessen the pain on my face before the treatment. I could feel the pinchs. The second time, nocream, YES, was even more painfull. However, we are women and we are able to take the pain, right?

I am in the US. I thought the price was very reasonable too. It is a medical spa overlooked by twp dr.'s. I was given a numbing cream to lessen the pain and it really does help. After my series of 5 treatments are over, I will continue with monthly facials to help maintain results :)
