You know what I'm talking about, right? You're on your plan, you're chugging along, but some aspects of it might be harder or more challenging for you to complete every day.

If so, I thought it would be cool to see what kinds of games you'll do to get thru your training. Here, I'll start you off:

Game: I can really suck at drinking 4 liters of water a day, esp on the weekends (please don't link me Erik's post about the weekends. I've seen it and I don't care. It's still hard!) So my newest game is:

-I have to drink 1.5 liters before I leave for work in the morning
-I have to drink .5 liters in the car on the WAY to work (nobody better be in the bathroom by the time I show up is all I have to say!!)
-I have to finish the remaining 2 liters before noon

This has actually helped and also reduced the number of times I get up in the middle of the night (thanks Erik!).

Remember, if you have any games you play let me know. They just might help me out!

Be well

I had started slacking on the water too so my rule is I must drink 1L before I leave for work. And I also don't usually let myself have any Coke Zeros until I've drank almost all my water.

I'll try to think of some more.

I do this too, but with my Diet Dr. Pepper.

Funny that it seems to be water that gets the most "games." I lug mine to work, and I won't allow myself to walk back into the house after work unless I've had it all. Sometimes I have to sit in the car in the driveway chugging the rest of it down.

If I am having a hard time waking up in the morning or hearing my alarm clock I drink a bunch of water before bed so I can wake up at 4:30 a.m. Maybe not the best for my bladder, but it sure does work!

What a great idea. I love this! Def going to try it - I am terrible about getting water down.

I do something similar with my water. I get one liter down before my morning cardio, second liter by 11:00am, third liter by 3:00pm, fouth liter before 8:00pm. I don't typically have too many issues with getting up at night...maybe one time only.

Interesting concept.
(so does the full bladder make you hear the alarm better?? :lol3:)

I used to get 2L in b/f noon and give myself the rest of the day to drink the rest. Then, the beer started making me bloat too much in the morning. :)

This is pretty interesting. I'm so bad about water, it HAS to be crystal light or diet soda. I'm going to try out this 'new game' . . . . I will however say that since I've come off of my 700cals/day contest diet....I have had a much better THURST for pure water, than I did when I was dieting.

i like a highly , HIGHLY diluted version of C/l. so its mostly ICE cold water filled to top and about a capful of C/L.. enough to change the taste of plain water. Reg straight C/li is too sweet for me.

In our wait listers thread, many have used rubber bands on bottles to help 'cue' how much they've drank/have to go.

Is there a reason against crystal light? Just curious.

One game that is guaranteed to scare the bejeezus out of you is to hold up a tiny competition bikini and pay your entry fee. Panic works.

Other than that, my stomach area near my navel loses weight first, so I can pinch around there.... for the first few weeks, I was like, 'Okay, this goes first, so let's see how long before I have to pinch somewhere else' and sure enough, every morning I would grab a little fat layer and it gradually got smaller and smaller.

I also could tell in the morning that there was less to pinch, and by evening, there was more (water). So the ultimate is an evening pinch...when that's hard, you're lean in that spot!

Now I have moved to the lower back. That's my new pinch spot. When there's no more to pinch there, it will be legs. :) That's my little game, and it's cool to actually pinch less and less as I go, and have to find a new spot to find pinchable fat stores.

Before I signed up with Erik about 4 yrs ago I took before pictures of myself in a tiny bikini (the photos were from just after I gave birth to my youngest son) I put the pics on the fridge to remind myself how awful I looked at my largest and to hopefully stop myself in my tracks if I was tempted to eat crap. Backfired one day though when a bunch of my husbands co-workers showed up unannounced and he brought them into the kitchen. Yes, I was very embarrassed and the pictures were taken down and never put back up.
