Ephedrine Freak Out!

I need someone to tell me that I'm freaking out for no reason, please!

I'm getting ready to order more ephedrine and everywhere I go is either out or saying they will no longer carry it as of June 30! My usual brand is Mega-Pro (vasopro) and it seems that it has been discountinued. I figured my next choice would be Biotek, but it appears that as of June 30 it won't be sold on any of the online retailers I visited. Does anyone know what's going on? :unsure:

Well, the place I normally order mine is out of stock but I didn't see anything that said they would be discontinuing it..it did say that they wouldn't be stocking the biotek after the 30th..I hope thy get some more in, I was planning on reordering in a week or so..I have found it at a couple of other places but it is much pricier..

The prices are only up on the stacks. You can still get Ephedrine SOMEWHERE for cheap. Have you been to any supplement stores? Cuz I was having the same problem the other day and had a mini freak out about the whole thing, and ended up going to a supply store here, and they had a WALL of Ephedrine. They had it in packs of 12 bottles too...so I bought 12 bottles(you're only allowed to buy ONE pack at a time, hahaha, I'm gonna send my buddy to buy me another one lol)....And it was only 60 bucks!!! So only 5 bucks a pop. All the expensive ones I have seen are the ones that are already the stack. If youwant me to somehow grab you a pack of 12 and send it to you, let me know.

I am looking for an appetite suppresant too...I hate being hungry! But I was always afraid of taking ephedrine. I gues there is a difference between ephedra and ephedrine though. I just learned that.
I guess I don't even have to worry about it now 'cause it seems like it's really hard to get.

I did not know it had "muscle sparing effects during cut" that is really interesting. I'll have to remember that...if I ever get any.

This is part of the problem, Erik. When you try and research what is going on it doesn't tell you much. It seems that the "powers that be" are trying to do things under the table. It seems as though something is going on. Although it hasn't been made "public" I do believe that access to it is being buckled down even more than it is now.

This is the first I've heard of this, though I still have a bottle of Hydroxycut from probably 5years ago that I haven't finished so I don't go looking for it often! I've been thinking of getting some more but I have a hard time finding something that doesn't either a) make my heart feel like it's going to pop out of my chest or b) give me a headache if I take it more than three days in a row and then stop for a day. It's more of a legality issue, for me. I don't wanna break the law. If it is going to be considered illegal, that's what bothers me. If I wanted to break the law I'd be taking clen. Ephedrine is legal and that is why I choose it. :)

I read about this via my pharma company's newbulletin a few months ago. You cannot buy pseudoephedrine OTC in the US anymore. You have to go through the pharmacy, give your info, and you're only allowed a certain amount per month to buy.

Don't know about ephedrine HCl, though.

Your right about the law thing. It just seems odd that ephedra/ephedrine would be illegal, doesn't register.

Clen on the other hand, I have only heard the hyped up "ways it could kill me,it's only for animals" routine, so it never crossed my mind to take it.

I didn&#39;t.

I weighed out the gram of powder (just to make sure it was close enough) and mixed it in a liter of proplyene glycol.

Yeilds 1000mcg/ml, but it measures out accurately enough with a 1cc insulin syringe.

In Oregon not only is it going behind the counter, shortly it&#39;s going to be by prescription only :rolleyes:

Exactly. I&#39;m gonna be disappointed when I can buy meth, crack, and cocaine easier than ephedrine. :sad:

I&#39;ve looked at the chemistry for making meth from ephedrine you buy OTC (don&#39;t even ask), and that&#39;s a major pain in the ass. These people with their home labs are devoted. I think around here, most people can get the precursors from fertilizers... most of north Louisiana is farm land, so there are massive tanks of fertilizer all over the place off the back roads.

And as much as the FDA would like to regulate that, they can&#39;t because there&#39;d be a sudden plethora of lobbyists from Starbucks. Ephedrine and Sudafed don&#39;t have that multi-billion dollar industry thing going on to protect it.

I was reading through this post to see if someone addressed this. Yes, many states are getting strict about the sale of pseudoephedrine and ephedrine, but it has nothing to do with ephedra. It is because meth labs are everywhere, and they&#39;re trying to keep a record of who buys the stuff. There are still some places you can grab it right off the shelf, but most places require you to ask a pharmicist, and everywhere in Georgia requires you to fill out paperwork.

BTW, I buy Primatene Tablets (12.5 mg Ephedrine HCL) So far, they&#39;re still available everywhere, but it does require a little frustration. :p

they carry ephidrine at all the gas stations here(minnesota). they have a limit of 2 at a time. i don&#39;t think you have to sign them out there. at pharmacies you do though

I&#39;m glad I ordered the day before the increase....but if that&#39;s not bad enough the last time I ordered the biotek (which was only about a month ago) it was 48 mini tabs for &#036;5.99. This time it&#39;s 24 gel tabs. (same dose per pill). First the dose per container got cut in half and then the price went up &#036;3. Sheesh.

I totally agree....they probably don&#39;t even think it will actually have any real impact on the manufacturing / use of meth - but it&#39;s something they can point to and say they "did".

FYI: You can buy Bronkaid and Primatene tablets at www.drugstore.com at reasonable price plus free shipping on orders over &#036;25. I bought 4 boxes of Bronkaid 60 ct. caps (25mg ephedrine sulfate) for &#036;9.99 each with no shipping charges. The also didn&#39;t question the number of boxes that I bought.

Bulk Nutrition and 1Fast400 just upped the price on theirs if anyone cares. Instead of &#036;5.99, 24 tabs are now &#036;8.99.


You know, it just confuse me when people go &#39;&#39;oorahh-oorahh&#39;&#39; over an 6,99&#036; or 8,99&#036; for a bottle of 60 tablets of ephedrine. It&#39;s not how much tablets that does count, but how much gram per tablet is offered. I used to take ephedrine when I was training intensively, it would cost me about 4,99&#036; for a bottle of 50 tab of 8g each. Of course, to see results I needed to take like 3 or 4 tabs so I could meet the standard requirement of 30 mg along 200mg of caffeine.

But, yeah, the trick is to ask some people behind the counter in a private supplement store, most of the time, they have some ephedrine. Prefererably to a guy, while showing a little bit of your cleavage. ;) :D

IMO, it&#39;s not the idea that &#036;8.99 is sooooo outrageous considering how well the product works, it&#39;s the idea that suppliers use the fact that ephedrine may become harder to get as a reason to double the price for the product in a matter of days.

yep - and like i said about a month ago the same brand came in a bottle of 48 tablets and now you get 24 gel caps (both the tabs and the gelcaps are 25 mg ephedrine hcl). so first they cut the amount you get in half and then they raised the price. :curse:

I was reading through this thread again and I just wondered if anyone has bought ephedrine after June 30th yet? It seems that websites still have it for sale, but many are out of stock. I am going to buy some but was wondering which is everyone&#39;s favorite brand and which websites have people used without problems?
