I really do not like eggs but I will give them a try because I hear the whites are good for us. So, I started thinking of all the ways I can tolerate eggs and one of the ways is deviled eggs. Instead of using all the yolk I used 2 of the 6 yolks and substituted steamed cauliflower so I would have enough filling and added chipotle pepper to kick it up (read cover up) the flavor of the whites. in addition I added 1 tsp mustard, 1 tsp vinegar, and 1/8 cup light miracle whip. Is there a way to clean this up or balance it more?
Great piece of advice here.

Thanks!! I still have 3 eggs to go. It is pretty bad when it takes an hour to eat 6 egg whites. It may have been a better idea to scramble the whites and drench them in Tobasco.

I love my eggs but can't do too many at once. texture gets to me. So I cook up 3 eat cook my other 3 and eat or 4 and 4 depending on the day. Makes it easier that way. I like my eggs salty too. Some like doing sweet eggs - add cinnamon, vanilla, stevia etc make them taste like french toast. I can't do sweet eggs.
Or add in salsa and veggies. Thats good too

Salt would make it better but I have been avoiding adding extra salt to anything-don't want to retain more water than I need to. Is it OK to add salt? Thanks for being so patient with me!! I feel like just grabbing a candy bar to get these extra calories in.

sodium is important! Not supposed to be cutting it back but freely uses it. Your body will regulate the balance.
There are some sodium threads here.

Again, Ileen is the BOMB! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I saw the colored salts at our grocery store but didn't get them bc they were so expensive. I will look at Trader Joes and Whole Foods ASAP.
I am loving the idea of PINK salt!! Hubby is going to tease me, lol.

Cook your egg whites and oatmeal together. I do 5 egg whites, stir in 1/3 cup oatmeal and 2/3 cups water. Microwave 3.5 minutes. Stir again, let it sit a few minutes and it's ready to eat. Use a big bowl- it gets huge while cooking but settles down. Very filling and solves the egg white texture problem. You can throw in a handful of blueberries or other fruit before cooking. Figs are my favorite. Cinnamon is good too.
I ordered Amy's book last week. Anxiously checking the mail box daily.

I love my eggs. So many options and pretty easy on the wallet. I just concocted something for tonight's dinner that I am reallllly excited about...But I will wait til I actually try it to tell you what it is, cuz it could be a total *FAIL* lol
Have you tried your eggs sweet? When I was younger my friend taught me how to make 'phillipino eggs' (thats what she called them anyway). Ive since altered the recipe to be diet friendly. Basically its just eggs, sugar, and vanilla. But I use eggwhites, splenda, and vanilla. You can spice it up and add apple pie spice, or cinnamon, or pimpie pie spice. Endless variety.

i love eggs/egg whites, if wanting to keep my breakfast at 4 egg whites, about how many grams is that when weighed or should i just measure a half cup and that would be close enough?
also what brands of salad dressings do u all suggest? i have used the walden farms but want to try and stay away from the articificial sweetners?

i dont use/like liquid eggwhites but the container should tell you what an equiv. is?
I often just use balsamic vinegar in a spritz bottle or the juice from diced jalepeno peppers, which i throw on a lot of things for some 'heat'

thanks i wish i liked spicy foods, but just can't seem to do it, lol, so if just using real eggs instead of the liquid egg whites, what do u do with the extra yolk when just using it for the egg white?
i am still on the waiting list does anyone have any recommendations as to what is good to do for a carb post workout, i know some do cereals, icecream etc, does it not matter what the sugar content is in that particular carb post workout

I save them and drop them off at a local animal shelter every 3-4 days. They put them on the kitty's food. :) Some shelters will use them and some won't- you have to call and check.
